Day 7 They say it's about 5 hours...

Supposedly, the drive from Queenstown to Christchurch is about 5 hours. Bull. We left Queenstown about an hour before sunset and drove until I was starting to put nailprints in Ryan's leg (I don't like driving in the dark at the best of times; now we are in a foreign country with livestock roaming around... great). So, that was an hour. We freecamped again, and again had a beautiful view to wake up to (though not as specatcular as the ocean hitting the coast) and hit the road about 9. At noon, we stopped for an hour or so to make lunch and enjoy the view of Lake Pukaki. Then it was back on the road.

FINALLY, at 4:30 we rolled into our holiday park. Yep. Over 8 hours on the road betweeen the two towns. We are taking today as a nice, quiet night in to rest and relax, finish watching Fellowship of the Rings, and get some laundry done. Oh, and catch up on the blog, because it's been a while since we've had internet access! We're posting entries tonight, but photos will have to wait until the morning. Uploading takes time!
